Genevieve Reichman, age 95, of Fairfield, beloved wife to the late William A. Reichman, entered into eternal life on November 30, 2016. A devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Genevieve's memory will be embraced by her children, Barbara McShane and her husband Thomas, of Fairfield, William Reichman and his wife Donna, of St. Charles, IL, Glen Reichman and his wife Vickie, of Bullhead City, AZ, Kim Beovich and her husband Dennis, of Seaford, NY; She was the proud grandmother of 9 and great grandmother of 10; she was the aunt of 2 nieces and 1 nephew. In addition to her loving husband Bill, she was predeceased by her parents, Henry and Lottie Jarczewski, and her siblings, Anthony and Jane. Born and raised in Jamaica, NY, Genevieve was a graduate of Jamaica High School. She resided in New Hyde Park for many years, where she worked as a court clerk until her retirement. Moving to Fairfield to be closer to family, she regularly attended St. Thomas Church and was a member of the Ladies Guild. She was also a member of the New York State Retirement Organization. At a very young age, Genevieve discovered the joys of reading books and used her time throughout life exploring the many worlds created by her favorite authors. Her love of our Lord Jesus and devotion to Mother Mary enabled Genevieve to overcome obstacles throughout her life. Her strong faith was truly an inspiration to her family and those who came to know her. Friends may greet her family on Saturday (December 10th) from 9-10:30 AM in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center. Her Memorial Mass will follow at 11 AM in St. Thomas Church. Services will continue in Oak Lawn Cemetery for her interment.
