Mark S. Jones, age 54, beloved husband of Charlene West Jones, of Milford, passed away peacefully in Yale New Haven Hospital on February 3, 2017. In addition to Charlene, his devoted wife of eleven years, Mark's memory will be embraced by his daughter, Brittany Jones, of Milford; his mother, Carol Terebesi Jones, of Fairfield; his siblings, Clifford Jones, and his wife Karen, of Fairfield, Denise Jones, of Tolland, Kenneth Jones, of Milford, Darryl Jones and his wife Ayano, of Greenville, SC; His stepchildren, Angela Serrano, husband Tony, and their children Sabrina and Alex Martinez, of Wolcott, Sharon Roberts, her husband Mark, and their children Haley and Mark, of New Haven, Andrew Nichols, of West Haven; nieces and nephews, Ridge and Spencer Jones, Kristin and Steven Carr, Alisa and Kent Jones; several dear friends. He was predeceased by his father, Clifford Jones, Sr. A graduate of Bullard Haven Technical School in 1980, Mark worked as a State of Connecticut Corrections Kitchen Supervisor. He was an ardent fan of the New York Yankee, and especially followed Derek Jeter's Major League career. A talented athlete, he enjoyed playing on the Correction's Softball League, and relished becoming the National Champions in 1993. He also liked to garden and read. Mark's love and dedication to his family and friends will be most remembered when speaking or thinking of him. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4-8 PM in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center, with a prayer service to be officiated at 7 PM by Father Norman Guilbert.
