Our beloved Michelle Cruz-Garcia, age 48, of Bridgeport, born May 20th 1968, passed away peacefully January 19th 2017 at Bridgeport Hospital after her fearless battle against cancer. Michelle is survived by her loving husband, Santiago Garcia Pinalles and their beautiful daughter Krystle Mercedes Garcia. Always by her side, her devoted sister Mercedes Anderson and her devoted aunt Norma Roldan, cared for Michelle selflessly and tirelessly. Michelle is also survived by her loving parents, Miguel Cruz and Luisa M Casado Cruz as well as her siblings Carmen Rosa, Carlos (Tito) Cruz, John Rosa, Josie Masferrer and Orlando Rosa. Michelle was always surrounded by her loving cousins, nephews, and nieces as well as the next generation of great nephews and nieces. Friends were an integral part of Michelle's life and she touched the lives of people near and far; from her hometown to far away places spanning the globe. Michelle was hardworking and dedicated having worked in logistics for over 25 years. Michelle achieved the position of Global head of logistics at a major international commodities company, COFCO. Her ability to manage and motivate people naturally brought her great respect from her peers and colleagues. Michelle holds a Bachelors and Masters degree in business from Sacred Heart University. Michelle had a commanding personality and a knack for bringing people together both in her professional and personal life. Michelle had a huge heart, and gave of herself unconditionally. Her vivacious spirit brought life to parties and she loved to dance. Michelle loved exploring new places and discovering new people through her many travels. But her family was always her center and that's where she derived her joy for life and her very warm and beautiful self. Friends may greet the family on Sunday, January 22, 2017 from 4-9 PM in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center. Her Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, January 23, 2017 at 10:00 AM DIRECTLY at St. Peter's Church, 695 Colorado Avenue, Bridgeport.
