Mildred T. Bonazzo, age 99, of Trumbull, devoted wife of the late Joseph F. Bonazzo, peacefully entered into eternal life on Friday, December 30, 2016 at Maefair Health Care Center. Born in Bridgeport to the late Philip and Mary Tedesco Lucy, Millie was a longtime Bridgeport resident before moving to Trumbull in 1991. She had worked in her father's store, Lucy's Supermarket, before becoming a fulltime housewife when she married the love of her life, Joe, in 1948. She was a member of the Italian American club and enjoyed crocheting, baking, and cooking. Millie took pleasure in her family parties and picnics and going on rides with her family, which is what she cared most for. Millie is survived by her loving daughter, Grace Krzynowek, and her husband, Bill, of Trumbull; her granddaughter, Mary Grace Krzynowek, of Trumbull; her grandson, Billy Krzynowek, of Bridgeport; the joy of her life, her great-granddaughter, Avery Grace Krzynowek; her sister, Evelyn DiLalla, and her husband, John, of Bridgeport; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her beloved husband, Joe, Millie was predeceased by her son, James Bonazzo; her brother, Joseph Lucy; and two sisters, Genevieve Marcello and Elizabeth Ciccone. Friends may greet her family on Wednesday, January 4, 2016 from 3-7 PM in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, January 5, 2016 at 9:15 AM in the funeral home and 10:00 AM at Holy Family Church, Fairfield. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport. Millie's family would like to express their deepest gratitude and thanks to the staff of Maefair Health Care Center for their wonderful care of Mildred during her time spent there. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Avery Grace Krzynowek College Education Fund, C/O: William Krzynowek, 25 Cartright Street, Unit 8A, Bridgeport, CT 06604.
