Robert John Devitto, age 91, of Fairfield, beloved husband of the late Marie Kish DeVitto, entered into eternal life on Thursday, November 17, 2016. Born and raised in Bridgeport, Mr. DeVitto had been a Fairfield Town resident for over 50 years. Robert was a United States Navy Veteran, having proudly served his country during World War II. He later worked for the Perkins Elmer Co. for over 20 years and then for Sikorsky Aircraft until his retirement. He was an avid New York Yankees fan and liked watching professional football games. He liked photography, especially taking pictures of outdoor scenes. Robert loved animals and enjoyed emailing with friends and the occasional trip to the casino. He is survived by his son, Russell DeVitto of Danbury and was predeceased by a son, Robert L. DeVitto. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 am in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Rd., Fairfield Center with burial to follow in Mt. Grove Cemetery with full Military Honors. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 10 am until the time of services.
